Dear Students,
I warmly welcome you to D.B.S. (P.G.) College, Dehradun, an institution with a proud legacy of more than six decades. With fourteen academic departments offering undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and post-doctoral programmes, the college continues to uphold its reputation as a leading centre of higher education. It is a Uttarakhand State Government–aided institution affiliated with HNB Garhwal (Central) University), Srinagar.

The College has adopted the NEP[National Education Policy] 2020 at UG level w.e.f. 2022-23 as per the Directives of the Affiliating University. We are entering the third academic session of NEP this year. Besides 3 years UG courses, Honours Courses [4 years] in various subjects are being offered in our college as per the guidelines of the University. For UG Courses the Candidate needs to apply to our college with a CUET examination score and for PG courses the candidate has to sit in the HNB Garhwal University Entrance Examination for PG.

In accordance with university guidelines, the college has implemented the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Along with traditional three-year UG programmes, we offer four-year Honours and Honours with Research courses in various subjects. Admissions to UG programmes are conducted through CUET, while PG admissions are based on the entrance examination conducted by HNB Garhwal University.

Our highly qualified and dedicated faculty members ensure quality education across Science and Arts disciplines. The consistent achievements of our students in university examinations highlight the strength of our academic environment.

To enhance learning and research opportunities, the college actively collaborates with leading universities and national institutions. MoUs with Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani, and the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Haridwar, support academic enrichment and skill development. The college regularly organizes seminars, workshops, counselling sessions, awareness programmes, and youth-oriented activities. Our NSS, NCC, Rovers & Rangers, Cultural, and Sports units remain active throughout the year and have brought several accolades to the institution.

Skill development remains a key priority. Students are offered skill-enhancement courses and hands-on training opportunities through collaborations with reputed organizations. The success of our alumni in diverse fields reflects the credibility and impact of our academic system.
